What is the difference between Account and Contact?

1️⃣ An account

An account corresponds to a physical person or a legal entity holding securities
This account can be managed and shared between several people that we will show in Equify as Contacts. For the same account, there can be several Contacts

2️⃣ A contact

A contact is always linked to a physical person and one or more email addresses.

A contact can also be attached to several accounts.

For example a contact (Elodie Sugranes ) of a company who has invested in KAPLI with Example Account, can also invest in another company (Terminus) with another Account.

⚠️However, each company will have its own version of the contact (Elodie Sugranes) with potentially different information (phone number, access etc).

Ex: The contact Elodie Sugranes will be visible for the company Kapli on the account of Example.
-> and for the company Terminus on the account Elodie Sugranes.

👉 In summary
The account holds the securities and the contact(s) are those who look after, manage and/or hold them.
