It is very common for employee shareholding securities to have a grant plan with reduced exercise periods in case of an employee's departure.
To set-up these elements :
1️⃣ When you create the security, answer Yes when asked if there is an "Exercise window applicable in the event of departure" at the Plan step :
2️⃣ Specify the exercise period (in days, months or years).
The exercise period can be different depending on the nature of the departure (death, resignation, dismissal, etc).
You can also chose not to mention the exercise period, in that case the exercise period will end when the security expires.
💡 If at the time of an employee's departure, the company decides to grant him/her different exercise periods, you will be able to override the information provided during the security's creation when setting up your Termination operation.
