How to edit a document for electronic signature ?

You can get your documents electronically signed on Equify.

1️⃣Insert signature fields.

In order for a document to get signed, you have to add at least one signature field.

The signers will then be able to sign the corresponding fields :

⚠️These fields are mandatory to get your document signed. You can add as many as you wish.

Signature fields you can copy/paste on your documents:

  • {Holder.signature} : you can use this field for any applicable transaction (grants, subscriptions...)

  • {Buyer.signature} and {Seller.signature} : you can use this field for sales

  • {Representative.signature} : you can use this field for all transactions

💡You have several holders or representatives to sign on the same document?
It is possible to number your signature tags to indicate the different signatories: {Holder1.signature}, {Holder2.signature} etc

See all numbered smartfields

These blocks are automatically identified by Equify and make the document signature-ready. They work on both PDF documents and DOCX templates.

2️⃣ Position the signature fields.

  • Position the fields where you want the signatures to appear.

✨ The date of signature will automatically be displayed on your document on the day of signature by the designated person.

  • You can now save your document! It will be available in the Library !
