How to get started with your historical data migration?
This article is designed to walk you through the key steps of a historical data migration.
① Create your holder file
Creating a holder file allows you to list all individuals and legal entities that are or have been part of your company’s shareholding structure.
It is important to include former holders who are no longer on your current cap table, as they will necessarily appear during the historical data migration.
② Gather your documentation
To begin your historical data migration under the best possible conditions, you need to have all the necessary documentation available.
The guiding principle is as follows: each transaction must be supported by the document that justifies it.
For example, a share subscription implies the existence of a subscription form.
③ Enter your company details
The first step in setting up your space is to enter your company’s legal details.

④ Create the accounts
To create the accounts, use the holder file you completed beforehand. You can copy and paste the information entered there into the contact creation area.
⑤ Record your first transactions
Using your Share Transfer Register (RMT), create the securities and enter the transactions in chronological order. You should therefore logically start with the incorporation of the company.
